Depending on how it is used, a landing page is not black hat: theyre not duplicate content, doorway pages nor dynamic pages, nor are they keyword stuffing, they cross no law and do not defy any google guide lines they are made to 'test' and measure effectiveness of different advertisements and are often used on Pay Per Click campaigns.
Every page of a site indexed by search engines is a 'potential landing page'.

Nice tips. I agree that it could be more effective to have short squeeze page with short points and psychological trigger, it is much easier and faster why to get the visitor to and action.
